FAQ

We have put together the most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that you did not find in the list, please contact us!

What do individual certifications mean 100% ORGANIC, BIO, VEGAN?

Our products are made only from raw materials of plant origin that come from controlled organic farming. In the production of organic food, pesticides, industrial fertilizers or antibiotics must not be used, and it is also forbidden to use chemical additives - artificial dyes, sweeteners, preservatives or synthetic flavorings and methods such as ionizing irradiation or genetic modification. SENSE COCO is the holder of VEGAN certification, the national BIO brand - Green zebra and European BIO brand - Green leaflet. You will find the codes of the appropriate certification organizations on the product.

What does it mean we are RAW?

We offer absolutely biological, naturally clean and life-giving products that meet the RAW standard, are nutritionally rich and minimally processed. RAW food or "live" diet includes foods or products that have not undergone heat treatment above 42 ° C. In the production of our products this temperature is not exceeded and therefore all bioactive substances are fully preserved and we can be proud of this label.

Why does coconut water have a pink color?

Immediately after coagulation and pascalization, coconut water is naturally transparent. By the process of oxidation and ripening, its color naturally changes into a beautifully pink color. According to this, we know that the water is naturally clean and unpasteurized. In cold, at low temperatures, it lasts for up to 40 days without the need for pasteurization that would otherwise reduce the bioactive substance content.

What is pascalization?

Treatment of coconut water by high pressure is called Pascalization (High Pressure Processing, HPP) operates on a simple principle: coconut water is packaged in a flexible container and placed in a pressure chamber filled with drinking water. After closing, the pressure in the chamber increases to 6000 bar for a few minutes. High pressure can destroy bacteria, viruses and molds that are responsible for spoiling the water without having to heat it or add preservatives to it. All living enzymes, minerals and vitamins are preserved in the water. The extended shelf life allows you to enjoy the water away from the place where it was matured.

Do our products contain allergens?

Our products contain no allergens because we and our certified suppliers are only producing pure organic coconut foods. There are no other raw materials in production lines that would rank among allergens.

Are product packaging ecological?

From the very beginning, we care about how our products and packaging are made. Our basic philosophy is fair business and clean environmental conscience. We are aware that our planet must remain healthy for the next generation and therefore we only select certified and socially responsible packaging manufacturers. All packages are 100% recyclable or recycled. Using PET bottles is the only way to keep coconut water clean, unheated, and as crude as possible.

PET 1 PLASTIC - polyethylene terephthalate is a recyclable plastic commonly used for food and beverage containers. The plastic bottle can therefore be sorted into plastic containers to help them return to circulation in a different form.

Are our products suitable for people suffering from celiac disease, gluten allergy or gluten intolerance?

YES! All products are naturally gluten-free and are not gluten-contaminated during production.

Are products health-friendly for all persons without distinction?

Our products made from coconut contain a high proportion of saturated fat. Their consumption in large quantities (especially coconut oil) should be considered by those who advised by doctor, are recommended a low-fat diet, and also by persons with proven cardiovascular disease. Sea salt in coconut chips contain a higher proportion of sodium than other products, so their consumption should be considered by people who need to reduce salt and sodium associated with their diet, such as kidney disease. In case of doubt about the suitability of the products, consult with your attending physician about consuming specific products.

Is coconut flour also suitable for people who have to watch for sugar in the diet?

Coconut flour, unlike other cereal flours, contains a much higher fiber content that inhibits the metabolism of carbohydrates and the release of glucose into the blood. Common white wheat flour contains about 4 g fiber / 100 g, spelled whole grain flour about 9 g fiber / 100 g, our coconut flour contains 37 g fiber / 100 g, which diametrically changes its glycemic index, which is around 45 on scale 0 -100. Coconut flour is therefore low glycemic and is also good for diabetics.

Are coconut products artificially sugar-coated?

With the exception of coconut chips with maple syrup, which contain 15% of natural sweetener, there are all products without added sugar. All foods contain just as much nutrients as nature has given them. Sugars contained in products are natural and do not need to be afraid. Products contain glucose, fructose and sucrose but are so low that they are not involved in negative blood glucose (level of glucose in blood) and insulin-associated hormone levels.

Are coconut products suitable for children?

YES! All products are reasonably well suited for preparing food for children, since their arrival on a solid meal. Coconut chips with sea salt for higher sodium content are not recommended until the age of 6.

Can I overdose with some products?

Use coconut products like other natural foods such as olive oil, nuts, or high cocoa percentages chocolate –  high-quality, clean and nutritionally-rich foods are always needed less than high-tech, nutritionally poor foods. You can not overdose with rational diet. Coconut flour is only appropriate to add a portion of the amount of flour in the recipe when baking and preparing food, so even its higher proportion of protein can not contribute to its excessive intake.

Why is coconut known as "superfood"?

Superfoods, or modern "superfoods," are nutritionally interesting foods (raw ingredience) predominantly plant origin that contain a wide range of health benefits in a concentrated amount. Often, these are plant fruits and plants themselves, that grow in remote areas of the country.
